Day 1
Lucerne / Luzern
Arrive swiss airport or border.
Buy a Swiss Card at the airport train station or with raileurope.com.
Travel to Lucerne by train.

Arrive Lucerne and transfer to your hotel on your own.
Day 2
Lucerne / Luzern
This morning you will visit Mount Pilatus.
Take Bus No 1 to Kriens Station Linde. From there you walk up
hill, pass a little church, keep up hill and after ten minutes
you reach the Pilatus Mountain railway station.
Buy a ticket at 50 % reduction (Swiss Card) or 25 % (Swiss Pass).
Travel by Cable Car up to Pilatus Kulm. Enjoy a wonderful panorama
of Central Switzerland. You may want to go for a walk on the
marked routes. Take your way down to Alpnach with the steepest
mountain railway of the world! Hikers may want to walk down
to Alpnach from the summit or the middle station.
From Alpnach to Lucerne you travel by boat on Lake Lucerne.

for a steam boat connection with the boat and timetable on this

Afterwards
you may consider visiting the Rosengart
Collection or the Swiss
Traffic Musuem or have a tour of Lucerne on your own.
Day 3
Lucerne - Andermatt
Travel from Lucerne to Andermatt on parts of the Wiliam Tell
Express Route. Check the timetable (lakelucerne.ch)
and make sure you choose a steam boat connection. Find your
way to Lucerne pier which is right at Lucerne rail station.
Board
the biggest and proudest steam boat "Stadt Luzern"
and sail to Flüelen.
Travel by train from Flüelen to Andermatt on the famous
Gotthard route (sbb
timetable).
Arrive Andermatt and transfer to your hotel on your own.
Day 4
Andermatt - Grindelwald
Enjoy your today's
PostAuto Romantic Route Express journey from Andermatt to
Grindelwald. Board your yellow PostAuto and take your reserved
seat.
A breathtaking drive in the PostAuto takes you up to Furka pass
and passing the Rhone Glacier down to Gletsch and up hill to
the Grimsel Pass and down again to Meiringen. After some free
time for Lunch on your own you continue to Schwarzwaldalp where
you change PostAuto and travel through the romantic Reichenbachtal.
You will get to see authentic alpine Switzerland.
Arrive Grindelwald and find your way to your hotel.
Day
5 Grindelwald
Full day Jungfrau
- Top of Europe and Grindelwald.
Cost savers will choose the good
morning ticket to reach Jungfraujoch. This ticket is only
available for the first two trains in the morning.
Take the rack railway from Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch. Arriving
at the "top of Europe" you will enjoy a breathtaking
view over the alps and you will understand why the Aletsch Glacier
has been declared an UNESCO Natural World Heritage. Hikers among
you will hike down from Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelwald.

Departure
Train transfer Grindelwald - Interlaken Ost - Airport or swiss
border. Seat reservation is not necessary (sbb
